To understand the world of The Fallen one must first abandon formative ideas such as: less is more, greed is sinful and life ends with death. For this is not the way in The Fallen world, no, to succeed is to acquire, to be great is to display greatness, to live is to be known.
Nobles vie for royal privilege, guilds strive for more, knights struggle to keep the law whilst priests debate the rightful judgement. The capital city of Grada groans under the weight of power held by the university, the demands of the museum and the secrecy of the college. Meanwhile the dead attempt, once again, to win the rights of the living. All wish to be recognised for greatness, all wish to acquire notoriety, all wish to understand and carve out their destiny.
And so it is, that the people of The Fallen World gather in the fields of Kastaria each mid summer to see what the future will bring and which of their long dead gods might favour them. They display their wealth, they demonstrate their talents, they seek to better themselves, to find their own path and defend what is theirs. Blessed Be.
